Jane Eyre: Part 1

Jane Eyre is an orphan girl who lived with her aunt and cousins at Gateshead.

There, she was ill-treated by them, and her aunt, Mrs. Reed, treated her as a servant because she had no money and her late husband loved Jane more than his children.
One day, Jane was so burnt-out that she fell ill. Finally she moved to a boarding school called Lowood. There, she spent a lot of years as a fellow and some of them teaching as a governess. When she was eighteen she decided to leave Lowood and apply for a job teaching in a house.
She received a reply from Thornfield Hall asking for her skills to teach Adèle Varens, a young French girl.
She accepted and there she met her, Alice Fairfax, the housekeeper, and some weeks after, Edward Rochester, the Master of Thornfield Hall and the guardian of Adèle, because he wasn’t her father. Edward was a moody, self-willed man nearly twenty years older than Jane, and has travelled around the world.
